Please don't link to this page, it will disappear soon, see below for why.

This page has not been kept up to date. The latest version is 0.14 available here: http://www.trbailey.net/xspf/readme.html
Read about this version here: Installation

If you use windows and are brave you can install tortoise svn and get the most recent verision using the url below. Note that this is an SVN archive not a download link. Install tortoise svn. Right click in explorer and select "SVN Checkout", select a directory and enter the url below. Then run readme.html from the archive. After installation you can navigate to player.php in the xspfphp installation directory to test the installation rather than sample1.html. If your setup is correct you'll see your music in a player. If you download and install the skins package below and reload player.php you'll see the bekle skin rather than the default skin. Then you can edit player.ini to change how your player looks. To embed the player use either an iframe or object embed. See examples here

Get JW skins package

The JWskins.zip file contains most of the current skin files for the JW player in one archive.
Unzip it and upload the contents to your /xspfphp/player/ directory, skipping any existing files.
You'll know it's correct when the default player.php renders using the bekle skin.

WHY?
This server (trbailey.net) is on my home DSL line. It can only serve files at 640Kbps (abt 67K) which is fine for a family blog with few hits but is inadequate to serve sample music or video files. Eventually I'll be able to increase the speed to 2mbps but I also need a separate domain for this project for search engines and to keep things separate. I'm in the process of both upgrading my home server and moving the xspfphp home page to a Dreamhost account. The new hostname is at xspf.trbailey.org.
