That’s right, the site called FindCheaters.com is a complete and total scam. If you’re looking for information about the site and you want to know how it works? It doesn’t. You were enticed into looking or joining by what they call an “Online Cupid”. An online cupid is not a real person. It’s a made up profile with a picture they got somewhere off the internet. Probably purchased a gaggle of pictures from some photo clearing house somewhere.
Can you cancel? Yes. Will you get your money back? NO
As far as I can tell there are no real women on the site at all, just a bunch of men looking for women that don’t exist. I suspect that even most of the “Basic Members” are made up profiles too. They may pay someone to sit and make up fake profiles so they can say they didn’t make the up themselves if they get caught. Kind of like Google did years ago when they paid people to sit and click ads all day on various web sites so they could keep the enormous advertising budgets that were placed in their care. I think Google settled out of court… FindCheaters will eventually go under once the word spreads.
What to do?
Suck it up, call the number and waste a few minutes of air time to cancel your subscription and hope they don’t try and hit you up again when your subscription expires. Try Match.com or eHarmony. Both are ligit sites and neither will cheat you. No guarantee you’ll get laid or even get a response but at least you’ll be talking to real people.

I recently purchased a Boyo AVN701S in-dash navigation system for mom and Patty’s van. I tried to update the map at the horizonnav.com site but received no map download link even though they charged my bank account. Beware, my research indicates the company has gone out of business but is still collecting money but in my case not sending the product. If you own a product that is supported by Horizonnav.com you might be wise to do some research prior to ordering using their online order system. I suggest you contact the manufacturer or your device first to be sure you will get your map update DVD.
Horizonnav.com supports a very long list of manufacturers of products so it leaves probably over 100 different brands SOL when it comes to map updates. I suspect someone will step in and take over the operation but unless and until that occurs, beware. Apparently there have been some phone number changes over the past year the latest being in April of this year. There also seem to have been staff changes as well. Currently I have not been able to find a working phone number for this company.

Watching the news one gets the impression that the current social, economic and political structures of the world are an effective means of managing the populous and its most precious resource, labor. That democracy is a fair and workable solution to the previous forms of social management America is purported to have successfully replaced. Prior to democracy we had kings, monarchs, emperors and other top-down, singular intellect social structures that operate upon the assumption that a populous is the same as an individual. The recent spate of books and movies promoting the idea of God and spirituality or refuting the concept of a deity indicate one thing – God is big business. Put God or some similar highly spiritually evocative name in the title of your book and you’ll sell a ton. The entrancement of humans with the desire to make sense of ourselves, our universe and all that’s in it and to explain the otherwise inexplicable is one of the main phenomena that distinguishes humans from any other living entity. Not only do we need to explain; we need something to hang on to when doubt creeps in. Furthermore, those who believe in a “higher power”, or creator or God or other form of external entity that has a mysterious power over our fate and our world have a tendency to see themselves as more highly evolved than those who don’t.
Recent research has indicated that those living in secular as distinct from religiously-based countries are more likely to be content and at peace with themselves and their neighbours. This runs counter to conventional wisdom and raises some interesting questions. One of these questions is “how does the myth that religion brings about inner peace survive the facts?” Another is “what do people who don’t believe in God actually believe in that makes them more content?” A third is “what makes people stick to their religious beliefs in the face of apparently overwhelming lack of evidence that God exists?” I will have a mild attempt at answering these questions, partly to help myself understand them and partly to invite your debate. Most of all, I want to answer a fourth question: “in the absence of a belief in God what core belief can a person hold that takes us to the highest level of humanity?”
